Windrush

FAQ’s

What is the Windrush awards platform?

Over the last 70 years, the NHS has relied on talent and workforce from all around the globe to make it work. The various categories will recognise a range of achievements, breakthroughs, as well as unsung heroes, who under normal circumstances, would perhaps be overlooked.

How can I get involved?

Scroll down on the home page and below the introductory text you will see the category list.

Click on the category title you are interested in and you will be directed to the landing page with a full description.

You can also see all nominations that have been posted on this page and you will have a chance to support nominations using the ‘thumbs up’ button at the bottom of each nomination during the ‘support stage’ which finishes on Friday 11 May.

Please note you cannot vote for someone you nominated.

You can also comment on nominations.

What happens next?

You are allocated five thumbs up per category and can click on a thumbs up once on each nomination, except for someone you nominated.
The support phase will close on the Friday 11 May, allowing time for the nominations to be shortlisted. The top four supported nomination in each category will make the shortlist.

Winners will be announced at the award ceremony on Tuesday 12 June in Manchester: further details to shortlisted nominations will be communicated.

I am having issues with voting

We recommend you use Google Chrome or Firefox. Some old Internet Explorer versions do not support the platform.
